A slightly deeper look at my full orchestral template. *Warning – this one gets a little nerdy, don’t watch unless extremely interested or bored!*
An epic orchestral track that I have just completed. I was picturing a soaring discovery of a hidden paradise buried deep – somewhere?! when I created this piece. Tell me what you picture when you hear it, I’d love to know! I will upload a video soon that briefly walks through this track and how I created it, for the curious. Listen on SoundCloud
A quick look at how I make my orchestral music by walking through my mockup of Hans Zimmer’s/John Powell’s Kung Fu Panda theme. This video shows my Cubase 6.5 template and the various sample libraries that I use to make my music. I would love to hear your feedback and any questions/comments/tips you may have about the mockup, my template, or the video.
Another exercise to study the orchestration of John Williams. There are a few things in this extract that still need tweaking but I’ve spent enough time on this one for now!
In my spare time in the last few days I’ve been working on a mockup of Zimmer/Powell’s Kung Fu Panda theme. I will make a youtube video that gives a quick run through of this piece, taking a quick look at my Cubase 6.5 template and breaking down the different sample libraries/techniques I used.
